You will learn why collage is one of the most important art forms of the new millennium and what your role is in this expanding medium, whether you are a beginner or a professional. Through concepts and technical processes, the emphasis will be on the development of personal expression and the communication of ideas. In this course, students will experiment with many different collage techniques, including: mosaic, cut paper, mixed-media collage, textured surfaces, photomontage and assemblage. In addition, students will learn what it takes to develop a portfolio and how to market your collage skills.
